I loved this read and hope you dive deeper into more fun, random topics like this one! I'm so glad my IG story led to this super interesting history lesson while also feeding my shoe addiction. :)

Obsessed with this edition of your newsletter, despite the fact that I can't wear these shoes hah! The design and formatting feels so uniquely you and I love the thoughtful and in depth approach to the topic. So happy to have you back in the inbox as always!

Me either! It was just one Google search to find like styles and I saw that term popping up everywhere. Ta-da...rabbit hole!

I had no idea these were created in the Friuli region - that's where I did my foreign exchange program in high school (lived with a family there for two weeks!) and I've been wanting to plan a trip back but it hasn't happened yet. Maybe a sign I really do need a pair :)

Wait a sec...I had no idea you'd done an exchange trip in high school. How cool!

You can't go wrong with the classic friulane silhouette, but I feel like a lot of the Mary Jane or bow/ribbon styles are right up your alley. Cayumas makes some block print ones too...!
